Certainly you friends and relatives have sent you a lot of postcards from their holidays in order to share with them the beautiful places they were visiting or in order to make you jealous; if you choose the B & B “Bellavista” for your holidays you will not only see what you already know from the postcards, but you will be constantly accompanied by a marvellous view which you can admire while your are in one of the B&B's beautiful rooms, while you are having breakfast, while you are reading a book, or while you discuss in a corner of the 'park garden' which is cherished by Giovanni (the owner) with attention and passion.

Usually the guests are welcomed by Mrs. Maria Teresa, and they will immediately note: hospitality, simplicity, discretion, silence and last but not least the marvellous view over the town of La Spezia with its gulf and the Apuanian Alps.
Without exaggerating we can talk about “a window over the town”, a “door” of entrance to the “National Park of the Cinque Terre” (within five minutes by car you will reach the park's territory). The perfect strategic position of this B&B allows its guests to reach immediately all the beautiful villages of the east coast; e.g. you can discover the park on silent trails and streets in the surroundings of the B&B (the trails are marked out by the C.A.I. and they can be discovered by trekking fans by foot or bicycle), with the beautiful villages of the “Cinque Terre” (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) and its unique territory with terraces (most of them cultivated with vineyards) which go down to the sea.
Of course the landlords will inform you about the trails which lead to Tellaro, Fiascherino, Lerici, San Terenzo, Portovenere etc. which are very characteristic and which should absolutely be visited - during the warm season you can refresh yourself with a bath in the sea. If you are interested in art you should use a day with rainy weather in order to have a look at La Spezia's oldtown with its various museums (art gallery A. Lia, the museum of sigillo, the naval museum, the museum of modern art) or to make a shopping tour in the center's numerous shops.
The B&B is very close to the railway station and the motorway A.12 and therefore it is possible to reach immediately the beautiful and relaxing “Lunigiana” (territory of hundred castles) or the beautiful Versilia (Marina di Massa, Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Viareggio etc.) with its beautiful beaches and its good organized bathing resorts in less than half an hour. What else? Ah yes, an important issue; in the surroundings there are a lot of inns and restaurants where you can taste the delicious local dishes at a low price. Maria Teresa and Giovanni will do their best in order to guarantee that you and your family will spend pleasant holidays, which you will not forget.

How to arrive

You have to leave the motorway A.12 at the tollgate of La Spezia, take the SS.1 Aurelia towards Genoa, and leave the town behind. At the height of the restaurant La Gira in the eponymous bend, you will see a gate of wrought iron with our house number 505. If you have any problems, call us, and we will help you. By train: The closest railway station is 'La Spezia Centrale'. If you inform us in time of your arrival, we will fetch you up.
