The territory was a feud of the lords of Vezzano, and of the Fieschi, and it was also dominated by the Republic of Genoa, which was interested in controlling this important road knot. Its strategic position on the ridge for the Magra Valley, was an important traffic street for the commerce with salt and other goods; in the year 2000, in the village Pizzola di Zignago (SP), Mrs. Tiziana and her husband have restructured with a lot of courage, taste and patience the parternal home in order to open a Bed & Breakfast.
The name? 'La Tana del Ghiro' - 'The Doormouse's Earth-burrow' The ubication? In the silence of chestnut woods, surrounded by meadows and unpolluted areas where stress and the frantic life of the city are only a memory.
