This charming apartment has been recently restructured and furnished. It is situated at the top of the village called “La Foce” and it is in a position from which it overtops the town of La Spezia. Very convenient also for those who do not always want to take the car, but who sometimes prefer to go by train or by other public means of transport. The railway station can be reached by bus which stops in a distance of about 1 km from the house (at the beginning of the “Foce” where you can park your car), and from here you can take a train in order to visit the “Cinque Terre” (in the main season we advice you to choose the train).
This recently opened holiday house consists of a double room (with space for an additional single bed), a big living room with two sofa beds, a completely equipped living kitchen and a bathroom with shower. From this starting point the travelers can reach immediately all villages of this terrific territory of the region Liguria like e.g.: Tellaro, Fiascherino, Lerici, Portovenere and the “5 Terre” with the villages Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. Very close to the holiday house “La Casetta” you will find various trails; one of them will lead you to the Natural Park of the “Cinque Terre”, and this trail starts in a distance of some hundred meters from the house. You can do trekking or mountain biking, or you can reach the park also by car.
An interesting alternative is represented by the ferry boats which depart from the pier of La Spezia and which will bring you to the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto (islands in front of Portovenere) and the Cinque Terre, with programmed stops. During this small cruise you will be able to admire from the sea the whole territory of the Park and its villages, which are unique in the world. Last but not least, art lovers can visit the numerous museums of the town La Spezia like e.g.: Naval museum, Museum of Modern Art, Sigillo Museum, the Picture Galery Lia etc. What else to say? The night life of the close Versilia and the village fairs with dances and songs, which are organized during summer in all the villages of the surroundings, complete a perfect day.
