The small village Mulazzo has an important place in the Lunigiana’s history. Through the years it has conserved its original structure with the narrow streets, the two entrance doors, and an antique castle of which only the so called “Torre di Dante” was conserved. Here at the Secco Spino was once located one of the most important and antique fiefdom of the noble Family Malaspina.
Even the famous poet Dante Alighieri spent his stay in the Magra Valley here. In the 18th century due to the dissection of the male Malaspina line, in the court a mansion was founded. Today this completely restructured mansion is the holiday house “Residence Spino Secco”. The holiday house exists of 6 independent apartments, 2 of them are mansards, with 32 sleeping accommodations furnished with a lot of taste in a traditional way.
It is the perfect place for a relaxing and private holiday also thanks to the pleasant summer climate which is refreshed by the air from the Apennines and the salty breeze of the tyrrhenic sea which can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
